The Toronto Raptors finished off their week-long training camp at Carleton with a charity scrimmage game and a $15,000 donation to the Adopt-a-Raven program.
The game was open to the public, and tickets cost $20 with the net proceeds going towards the Adopt-a-Raven program. During halftime, Raptors president and general manager, Bryan Colangelo presented a cheque to Carleton towards the program. Accepting the cheque was Carleton’s assistant vice president (student services) Ed Kane.
Before the Raptors began their warm-ups, coach Jay Triano said, “I just want to take the opportunity to say thanks the City of Ottawa, it’s only fitting that we start our training camp here since we are Canada’s team.”
