I was born in Toronto, raised in Kitchener and grew up in Guelph. Upon completion of high school diploma I took a year off from my studies to take part in an exchange program with Canada World Youth, which had me living and working in Uruguay for three months.
After a stint at a steel mill I travelled to Southeast Asia for three months where I found myself stuck in Cambodia for two of those three months. Throughout my final year of high school and my travels I always carried my camera (Canon 10D) with me in the hopes of developing the skills necessary for photojournalism.
In fall 2008 I arrived at Carleton to begin a bachelor of arts degree in political science. In October 2008 I had my first photo credit with the Charlatan.
I now share my time between cooking at Rooster’s and assisting the photo editor.
